I've always made things and made art. I spent my childhood summers with my aunt in Nebraska at what felt like a magical and improbable beach house on a manmade lake. My aunt worked at a historic house museum in town and as her niece I was permitted a good amount of behind the scenes access to old photos, closets full of clothing, drawers full of treasures, and boxes of toys. I won every sandcastle contest I entered.
I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and in contrast to the colors of Nebraska, have always been in love with California's color palette. I'm also a painter and you can my art at erinmwheeler.com
