About Fenna&Fei Jewelry
Humans were born to create and discover. Making and designing earrings, not only fulfills a biological necessity but it gives me space to be free from all the ramblings in my head.
The name Fenna&Fei is inspired by my two daughters, who I hope, grow up to inspire others and be a shining light in this world.
I am in love with the unique and sporadic shapes and colors of acetate. It has a likeness to what we see in the natural world. It's perfectly imperfect.
All of Fenna&Fei jewelry is made with an eco-friendly, plant based cellulose acetate. Acetate is made from cotton pulp and 100% acetic acid. Acetate pellets are dyed and melted down into a paste. This paste is then formed into large sheets which are dried and then cut into shapes for our jewelry. Each piece is then polished in rolling wooden barrels for 2-3 days and then finally hand polished for a perfect marbled look.
About the Creator
Aubrey just completed her masters degree in TESOL. She was a Peace Corps volunteer in China and is planning to trek across East Asia providing free English education to teachers and children in underdeveloped communities.
Fenna&Fei will help fund these projects!
She is a lover of hydrangeas, all things nature and life. Her love for flowers comes from her mother who was a floral designer before she passed away 🙏
