The history of the brand of home decor
Hello. My name is Tatiana and I am from Ukraine. I live in a small town near the foot of the mountain called Ivano-Frankivsk.
The Firankahome project was born in 2016. My first attempts to do something with my own hands. Then it was embroidery, twine, and sackcloth products. Almost all found their owners in the form of small gifts. And it was so nice to receive positive feedback in return.
At that time, I did not even guess that after a little more than a year I would start sewing, and then, again, I would take a knitting needle and a hook that did not hold good 18 years!
I loved knitting from school. Just then I met a good teacher. Together with her, my grandmothers and my mother, I mastered the most basic techniques, patterns, and already in the class 6-7, I tied myself up to three sweaters, which went very long.
The period of violent youth rejected my delight in the past for a long time, until the time I gave birth to my first son. Again I got into a knitting needle, years after 10!!! But, it's clear that it's boring. A small diameter, thin threads, a long process drove me into an even more postnatal depression, and instead of calm, I felt that I could not bring the matter to the end.
I wanted something bigger! Therefore, I took up the hook and again, I began to study in a new way.
Then I realized that the knitting needles, as an instrument, greatly limited me.
Agree, it is difficult to tie a 2 × 3 size rug, because it simply does not fit on the circular needles. While crocheting you will easily create such a giant without problems, and even twice as fast.
Plus love for puffy. Here, of course, do not run without needles, but I try to keep the balance in favor of the hook, and they are worth it.
Therefore, the schemes of my pendants, of which a year ago and the story #firankahome began, I specifically chose, with an emphasis on knitting crochet.
Although, in fact, all this is inspired by the desire to create in your house a special atmosphere of comfort, rest, fill the house with original handmade things and share these processes with you.
And the very interior knitting allows me to do it.
Moreover, it puts a lot of points in terms of the application of your favorite tool of work, allows you to use thick and textured materials (I have already tried knitted yarn, ribbon, cotton string, wool and half-honey, jute, and the favorites will tell later), and eventually bring me a boost from what I do.
Everything I think, draw, make calculations, and, moreover, it is a process that introduces me into a trans-positive world in which there is no place for bad thoughts. Such a yoga for the brain.
And the very positive posture and total relaxation make me take up everyday a favorite thing, even if I only have time for it for an hour.
These 60 minutes are too important for me, because my little effort is a challenge for myself!
Well, in the end, I am a twice mum, who definitely does not plan to return to office chaos)). I am looking for the opportunity to be flexible and to plan my time by myself, because two small Angels have already changed me so radically.
