Frequently asked questions

Gift wrapping and packaging

Yes, gift boxes and tissue paper are available at an additional charge.

Custom and personalized orders

Yes we can make a custom tea for you and we can personalize gift tags or cards. Custom Tea and personalized gift notes will leave the shop in 3 to 5 business days instead of my standard 1 to 3 days processing time.

Do you ship global?

Yes, please convo for a shipping quote on larger items. Smaller items up to a total of three pounds can all travel first class in one box most every where in the world for about $35 so it does make sense to combine purchases. International buyers assume full responsibility for any customs or import charges and fees. Refusing the package because you don't want to pay it does not require us to issue you a refund. Buyer assumes all damage risk.

Food Handling and Safe Packaging Procedures

Safe food handling practices are of utmost importance. I wear gloves and a hair net when I blend and package. I work in a licensed kitchen in New Haven CT. I am also a certified food manufacture. I keep my work areas clean with all natural cleaners. I have invested in commercial grade heat sealing devices! Each handcrafted tea is carefully placed into a USDA compliant zipper sachet/pouch and then I hermetically seal it with a professional sealer.

Teas and Botanicals are also presented in keepsake jars, tins and gift boxes. Containers are all sterile, airtight and sealed with safety banding. My tea is a sensory experience and this is the process to the package my handcrafted tea deserves, enjoy

Fine China Handling & Insurance

I take great care in packing up all fine china pieces. I may use recycled (used) packing materials and boxes. It's healthier for our earth and helps me keep my prices attractive.

I take full responsibility for every item leaving my shop. I purchase insurance on each domestic china order. If an item arrives damaged please convo me a photo and a note. I will then instruct on returns and issue a refund or replace broken pieces if I have them and pursue the insurance claim myself.

For orders shipping outside of the US buyer assumes all risk. I may not be able to comply with this policy if the package weighs over six pounds.

Returns

Non customized items can be returned. There is a 25% restocking fee. Purchases received damaged will be fully refunded. Photos of damage will be required and cooperation with insurance claim verification is kindly expected.
