Forest Edge Atelier
In the hustle and bustle of modern life, where days rush by and time often seems too short, there exists a place where time appears to stand still. A place where nature follows its own rhythm and tranquility is a given. This place is the source of my inspiration for my prints, and this is the place I call home.
My name is Laura, and I'm the maker behind Forest Edge Atelier. A few years ago I moved from busy Flanders in Belgium to a quiet, remote farmstead in the north of Europe, where the air is crisp, the forests are deep, and the horizon of the Baltic sea stretches endlessly. Surrounded by nature, I discovered the power of stillness and slowing down. It was here, in this peaceful environment, that my passion for the woodcut technique evolved —a traditional art form that requires patience and precision.
Forest Edge Atelier is a tribute to the outdoors, to nature, and to the power of silence. My prints cherish the soil and the seasons, from the joy of gardening and living in cabins in the woods, to the Nordic outdoor spaculture. It is an invitation to slow down, to be present in the moment, and to treasure your memories of nature—through art that helps you stay connected to what truly matters.
