Bold Mosaic Crochet Patterns, Designed in Scotland
Hi, I’m Abi, the designer behind Get Yer Hook On. I’m based just outside Glasgow in Scotland, and I’ve been designing mosaic crochet patterns since 2020.
A lot of my inspiration comes from Scotland, so you’ll find plenty of Scottish landscapes, wildlife, folklore and a fair few thistles amongst my designs! But inspiration can come from absolutely anywhere, from places I’ve visited and things I’ve seen in nature to films and random ideas that get stuck in my head until I turn them into crochet.
I design and chart all my patterns from scratch. I crochet my own designs and work with a brilliant team of testers before release, so you can be confident the patterns have been crocheted and thoroughly tested.
I specialise in overlay mosaic crochet and love creating designs that look intricate but use surprisingly simple stitches. My patterns include clear charts and written instructions, and many suit crocheters who are fairly new to mosaic crochet as well as those who have been doing it for years.
