My Crafting Journey So Far......
For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved creating—whether it’s for myself, my family, or thoughtful gifts for friends. I’m completely drawn to all things creative: yarn, fabric, paper crafts, beads, pebbles… anything with a little sparkle!
As a mum of four and a nan to one, there’s always a reason to make something special.
In 2018, after being diagnosed with cancer and thankfully going through successful treatment, I came out the other side cancer-free but with a new perspective. It was the wake-up call I needed to realise that my 9–5 office job wasn’t the life I wanted any more. With incredible support from my husband and family, I took a leap of faith. I left my job, taught myself graphic design, and invested in a Cricut machine and printer… and the rest, as they say, is history.
When I opened my Etsy shop, I hoped—quietly and nervously—that my creations might be good enough to sell. I’ll never forget the joy of hearing that very first “cha-ching.” Even now, nearly 6,000 sales later, it still makes my heart skip a beat. I sometimes have to pinch myself that this is now my full-time job.
My mind is always buzzing with new ideas, and I’m constantly inspired to create something new. One of the things I love most is bringing a customer’s vision to life—it’s such a privilege to turn someone’s idea into something tangible and meaningful. Every single order means the world to me, and I pour a little piece of my heart into everything I make. That’s the true beauty of handmade.
So thank you, to every single person who has supported my journey so far and for allowing me to do what I love every day, you have truly made my heart happy.
And if you’ve made it this far, I really appreciate you taking the time to check out my story 💛
Shirley xoxo
