I was doubtful in buying these shoes. I have previously bought shoes from a shoemaker in Turkey that were less than my expectations. As soon as I opened the box, I gasped! I knew instantly not only were these shoes, exactly as represented but extremely well-made and yet very simple. I chose a 9 1/2. I normally wear a men’s 10/USA. I also chose the leather soles! Shoes arrived Seattle Washington very promptly well packaged with care. I couldn’t wait to get them on my feet! Not a usual response for me. With climate change/global warming summers in Seattle are considerably hotter. I was looking for a comfortable shoe that would not require socks, a closed toed but casual shoe for a casual work environment. These fit my feet wonderfully, look great, are expertly crafted of quality materials. I will buy another pair! So pleased.

We are a small company making traditional handmade leather shoes. Turkish shoemakers have been making these Yemeni shoes for centuries and our artisan shoemakers follow their footsteps.

From finding the finest leather to turning it into a beautiful, healthy and comfortable shoe, the shoemaking process involves experience, patience and a lot of psychical effort. This is why we believe in quality over quantity.

Entirely handcrafted from natural materials only, Turkish Yemeni shoes are the healthiest and most stylish option for your feet.

Our expert artisans use 5 different leather types for Turkish Yemeni shoes; Outer parts are either buffalo skin, cowhide or sheepskin, cowhide for sole and finally calfskin for inner linings.

Besides being genuine and stylish, Yemeni shoes also offer great comfort for pregnant mothers. Since they are made from entirely natural materials, they are highly breathable, keeping the feet cool and dry. High quality leather also prevents any odor after use.

Ideally, initial fit should be tight. Turkish Yemenis are made entirely from natural leather and they will stretch and take the shape of your feet in a few weeks.

Care instructions

It is totally normal to feel the stitches at first. Beeswax-coated twine used for stitching will soften with time.

Extra Outsole For Longevity

Our Atlantis Handmade shoes come with a rubber outsole which adds extra durability. The main purpose of this outsole is to protect the midsole from external risks like water, dirt and generall environmental damage.

The rubber outsole we add to our shoes will wear away with time, this is totally normal. They can be replaced easily by any cobbler or shoemaker in your area.

We recommend you to replace the outer sole as soon as you begin to notice any damage or wear down. This would prevent damaging the shoe itself.
