Just an Ohio girl in an Oklahoma world...
I've had a lifelong love of nature and have always been passionate about ecology and the big R's; Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Responsibility. Now I put that love of all things natural into creating useful items from stuff that would normally go into the landfill. Every piece of wood I can reclaim is one less item in the landfill and maybe one less tree being cut down.
I grew up with a shop in the barn and learned how to use tools and figure out how things go together by working alongside my dad until he left this earth all to soon in 1979. After that I continued to build and create throughout my college years. I have had my tools packed up and stored away until a few years ago when I was able to build a small shed. I moved onto some land that had a 10' x 20' burnt out shed on it. I tore that down and built a new one in it's place with the intention of using it as a garden shed. As I was building it a knock on the head reminded me of the trailer full of tools and before I knew it the shed had electric and I was moving my tools in. Alas, the lawn mower never made it in but it is happily safe in my neighbors garage for now.
Once my tools were where I could actually use them I once again started building things for any and everyone who needed something weird or out of the ordinary to make life easier. My passion for building has been brought back to life over the last several years. My dream for the future is to continue to grow my skills and portfolio as well as my shop, and make it my full time career.
