4 out of 5 starswe love this knife. the forging is top notch. the handle has several areas where the resin didn't cover the wood underneath and we have superglued those areas to prevent further damaging the handle as well as the handler. in those areas it would be very easy to get a splinter shoved into your hand while chopping. I have not had contact with the seller as to me this is just part of owning things that are made by the human hand and I gratefully appreciate the individuality and character that this approach leaves behind. therefore I see no need to complain, but to advise only. this product is amazing as is and I need nothing to make it perfect. it is perfectly hand made!

5 out of 5 starsFinally genuine Damascus steel! Many knife makers are selling fake carbon steel with metal engraving or etching as real Damascus when it is completely fake; not this seller! I magnified the spine & grind edge 20 times magnification to find this is the real deal layers of Damascus forge. The handle has nice figuring, however is pulling away from the blade near the top due to warpage, and some forge slag appears to between the handle & blade. Because I am so satisfied with the steel I did not detract a star. The knife came very sharp, and hold an edge extremely well. I would purchase from this seller again. Hopefully tighter quality control on the handles is paid more attention. This blade just oozes black carbon every time I wipe it! Excellent steel!
