Hi, I’m Allyson—the multi-media artist behind Kitty Cakes & Co.! By day, I design digital apps and websites, but my true happy place is working with my hands and dreaming up colorful, kitschy creations.
It all started in my tiny Orange County kitchen, where I fell in love with decorating cakes. But with no birthdays in sight and sweets piling up, I thought… what if I made cakes that could last forever? Enter: plaster cakes. Lightweight, joyful, and frosted with creativity—each one is handmade to bring a little fun to your shelf, studio, or party.
My first “official” cake was for my nail artist (shoutout to the real ones). She asked for a display piece for her salon, and I ran with the idea—why not turn these into collectable decor? From there, Kitty Cakes & Co. was born.
I pull inspiration from everywhere: Pinterest, TikTok, craft store aisles, and my two ragdoll cats, Jiminey and Toulouse, who supervise from the sidelines. I work with materials like plaster, paper mache, glitter, beads, and silicone (for extra-durable pieces like mirrors or phone cases). Everything is made by hand, by me—with love, of course.
