I have been in fashion for more than 20 years, worked as a stylist internationally, fashion design lecturer in Shanghai and now I share my love and knowledge for illustration with my students. My work can been seen online, sold in many cool concept stores, I have designed craziest shoes that where sent to Lady Gaga, but now I am going to share some of my designs here. Cause u never know what can happen, right?
I have two fashion lines - Baiba Ladiga, and my diffusion line Kobayashi. I am from Latvia, but my Second line name comes from my second surname, that I got from my talented Japanese architect husband Reiji. As you can tell, I am very inspired by architecture and minimalism, well except my colourfully illustrations .
I emphasize the importance of sustainability in my design process and aim to create garments that are friendly for both - nature and a human body. I work with natural and and recycled materials, pay extra attention to the quality of the materials, finishing and follow the principles of zero–waste fashion.
I use only high quality and sustainable materials such as organic linen, pure Mulberry silk and Peace silk, and soft ecological cotton.
