Hi, we are Chris and Kristi, a husband and wife maker team living in Scottsdale, AZ. We have both always enjoyed making things with our hands, and finally decided to venture into a hobby-business where we can showcase and sell some of our favorites. Enter Kristi Stephenson Creations, which we launched in early 2020 as our brand where we can showcase and sell some of the things we make.
Kristi is the primary creative driver behind Kristi Stephenson Creations, but Chris also enjoys many forms of woodworking. We feature some of his hand carved wooden utensils here in our shop.
Kristi's creative focus is on copper and silver jewelry, and crafts from exotic woods.
Why these elements? I have always had a love for copper. Maybe growing up in Arizona was an influencing factor. Arizona is nicknamed as the "Copper State," producing more copper than any other state in the union. As I branched into jewelry making, I decided to take copper as a core element in many of my pieces. My jewelry design style continues to evolve, but you will see that I focus mostly on simple, minimalist pieces. Pieces that highlight shapes, lines, textures, and some carefully chosen semi-precious stone accents.
I also really love exotic woods - all the colors, patterns, textures, and natural variation. I want to introduce more people to the beauty of these natural elements, so that is what I focus much of my wood-crafting on.
