From Forgotten Stories to Unique Jewelry
I still vividly remember sitting in front of the mirror at the jeweler’s when I was three years old, my face flushed with excitement. My parents thought I was too young, but after asking persistently (as I rarely ever asked for anything), I was finally allowed to get my first real earrings. Since then, hardly a day has gone by without wearing jewelry, and making it has become my (slightly out-of-control) passion.
When designing my jewelry, I carefully select the materials. I love going out to see and feel the individual components in person. Scouring unique boutiques in search of the most beautiful beads. In vintage and second-hand shops, I come across the most stunning (discarded) jewelry. I often think about the stories behind these beautiful pieces. Some are missing a few beads, others have a broken clasp. That’s when I get excited about transforming them into something new.
This way, a unique piece of jewelry is created from a mix of new and recycled materials—one with its own story. A story lovingly put together, ready to be passed on once more. I hope that love is felt every time the jewelry is worn.
