Dreams really do come true . . . . .
And so, MAMI and MIMI was born.
I graduated from fashion school in 2007 and married the man of my dreams two years later. I always knew I wanted to build a creative business—one where I could design, create, and turn meaningful ideas into something special. Life, however, had its own timeline, and I am incredibly grateful that my time finally came.
Becoming a proud mama gave me an even stronger drive to pursue the dream I had carried for so many years. Ironically, that dream began taking shape during the pandemic. Just days before the March 2020 shutdown, I resigned from my position as Director of Operations to become a full-time mom. It had been heartbreaking not being able to see my children until the end of each workday, and I knew I wanted to create a life that allowed me to be more present for them.
A few weeks into the shutdown, I realized I needed a creative outlet and a way to contribute while remaining home with my family. What began as a small home-based project quickly grew through the support of our local community. That experience showed me that it was possible to build a business around creativity, hard work, and the things I truly loved doing.
As the business evolved, I discovered a passion for vinyl design and creating custom decals. I loved the idea that a simple design could completely transform a space, vehicle, trailer, boat, business display, or special celebration. Today, MAMI and MIMI specializes in high-quality custom vinyl decals and personalized designs created to help our customers bring their ideas to life.
Every order gives me the opportunity to be creative while also spending more time with my little ones—the reason I began this journey in the first place. Each design is prepared with care, attention to detail, and a genuine appreciation for the person who trusted me to create it.
There is still so much more I hope to design and share. Every day brings a new idea, a new challenge, and another opportunity to create something special. I am incredibly grateful for platforms like Etsy, which allow small businesses and stay-at-home moms like me to reach customers around the world and become a meaningful part of our economy.
