Jewelry handcrafted and beaded by hand with an eye for nature
I have always - since I was a child, loved to make things - drawing, sewing my own clothes in high school. I love color, the natural world, and the feel of materials in my hands. It gives me great satisfaction in making things that bring pleasure to others. I began needle beading more than twenty years ago - starting with brick stitched dangly earrings - anyone remember those? I expanded my skill set - mostly self taught and took classes where ever I could find them. Now I work with wire and other materials making earrings, necklaces as well as bracelets. I have sold my jewelry at art fairs and in consignment shops, and presently on etsy as a venue.
I have taught beading while managing a bead retail store. It was a satisfying experience to assist people in choosing their materials for their project and walk them through their initial insecurity about lack of creativity to the final stage of their pleasure in making a piece of jewelry they were proud to wear. The surge in confidence was lovely to see.
I continue to explore what I can learn and do with my materials and techniques and am happy to offer my work to you as an expression of myself. Thank you for visiting my shop and enjoy.
