Discovering my passion one project at a time
Hey y'all.
Originally from a small town in Indiana, I grew up in a large family where I learned the value of hard work and community. My journey has taken me through years of working alongside skilled tradesmen, where I discovered a deep passion for tools and woodworking. For over a decade, I’ve called Tennessee home, a place where I’ve continued to hone my craft and immerse myself in projects that allow me to create and build with my hands.
There’s nothing I enjoy more than getting lost in a good project, whether it’s designing something new or bringing an idea to life through woodworking. I’m also proud to serve as active duty in the Army, where the discipline and dedication I’ve learned on the job are reflected in every piece I work on in my workshop.
My approach:
I'm passionate about constantly refining my woodworking skills, always eager to learn and grow in the craft. I find inspiration in all aspects of life and nature, believing that every piece of wood has a story to tell. I never let a piece of scrap wood go to waste, seeing potential in even the smallest pieces. Whether it's understanding the origins of the wood or imagining the tales hidden within the walls, I'm driven by the stories and history behind each project.
Mentorship has been pivotal in shaping my knowledge and skills, guiding me through the nuances of woodworking. While I don’t believe I’ll ever truly master the craft, I’m confident I’ll come close with dedication and continued learning. I take great joy in designing from scratch, especially when clients trust me to surprise them with creations based on loose guidelines. It’s in these moments of creative freedom that I find the most fulfillment.
I'm a weekend warrior woodworker, turning my two-car garage into a hub of creativity and craftsmanship. Between the sawdust and tools, I spend my nights and weekends bringing projects to life, from custom furniture to unique home décor. My hope is that you will find a unique, hand made piece that resonates with you and can be something you can appreciate for yourself or a loved one.
