We begin by designing our pieces using sketch pad and then produce a few prototypes to finalize on shape and weight. -
We shape the clay into our desired item on the wheel or by hand. -
After a day or two to dry we may trim bottoms and let dry. We then bisque fire in an electric kiln to cone 04 (1945 F). -
After bisque firing we inspect our item and apply wax in preparation for glazing. -
Glazes are applied and the item is then glaze fired to cone 6 into vitrified stoneware/glass item.
