5 out of 5 starsMy grandfather was interred at Arlington National Cemetery last year, and all of his children and grandchildren were given bullet casings from his 21-gun salute. Got one of these for myself and one for my dad for Father’s Day, and they want to tell the rest of the family so they can get them, too.

This is such an incredibly beautiful, time- honored way to display the spent shell casings from the 21-gun salute presented to me at the dedication of my uncle's new headstone to honor a young man who sacrificed his life for our freedom in WWII. I gave one shell casing to each family in attendance. At the time, I really didn't know what I/we would do with them other than put it away in a drawer. I thought to do a search on Etsy, and voila, I found this plaque. Thank you Etsy. I ordered one plaque as a test. It surpassed my expectations. I will now place an order for the remainder to give as gifts.
