Midwest Design Company started as most small businesses do—with a dream and a little extra room in the basement. When I started MDC [Midwest Design Company], I was looking for a way to break away from the daily grind and find a way to become my own boss. I wanted that sense of freedom and ownership that you can’t get from anything besides running your own business—MDC’s owner, G Schneider.

At Midwest Design Company, the focus is always on the design. From choosing the varieties of materials, to the design, and even the placement of the design on the piece, I truly care about the products my customers take home with them. It is a big responsibility to have my work on display in people’s homes and offices.
