About Trish
Ever since I was little, I have always loved making & wearing jewellery. I embraced all fads including gimp, embroidery thread friendship bracelets, Phone wire, and hemp.
Since moving to Toronto, I have managed a couple Jewellery stores and I was in heaven (new accessories every pay cheque – how could a woman not like that!) I have also worked at a hand bag store, learning thing or two about how to make an outfit complete. I decided to turn my passion into my job and love every minute of it! I get so much joy out of creating amazing items for people and seeing the happiness it brings them <3
With jewellery, the possibilities are endless and I try to create pieces that are elegant, yet fun. I love to make something for all styles. Being Indigenous, I have added a bit of Native/Nature inspired flair to most of the designs.
The name Miikana (pronounced Me-Kan-a) means a road or a trail in Ojibwe. We all take many different paths in life and I want to create items to make you happy on yours!
