My wife is a ceramic artist and aspiring ceramics professor. I took an Intro to Ceramics course at our university to gain a better understanding of her craft, and I really enjoyed it. I have since taken two more courses focusing on wheel work and, much to her delight, now share her affinity for clay. We have since bought a kiln, a potter's wheel, and all of the other tools we need to produce ceramics at home.
I make and sell ceramics here not necessarily for the money, but also because I like to share the joy that I find through my work with clay. Each piece I list here represents a brief period in my life, as clay is a surprisingly emotional medium. There's a lot of negativity and problem-seeking in our world, and I want to remind people that there's plenty to admire and look forward to in life. That's my goal as an artist and as a person.
