I am the mama to 6 kids brought together through international adoption from China and DRCongo. I love to laugh, I love to play, and I love to sew. Since no one is going to pay me to laugh or play I'm hoping I can put my sewing to good use.

Frequently asked questions

Can I pick up my fabric from your shop and skip the shipping charge?

Unfortunately, I don't have a brick and mortar shop yet, but if you live close by I can sometimes arrange to meet you for delivery. You can send me a message to make arrangements. Keep in mind that I ship by Priority Mail so a local delivery is usually over night and often just as convenient as trying to arrange a pick up time.

Exactly how big is the piece of fabric I'm buying?

I sell most of my fabrics in 1 yard increments. The prices you see listed are for pieces that are 36 inches. The width of the fabrics vary from 35 inches to 60 inches, depending on the style of the fabric.

If you order more than one yard, I will leave the fabric in one continuous piece.

Some of my fabrics are sold by the panel. The size of panels varies, but they are sold this way because they have a pattern that would be ruined if it wasn't kept in one whole piece. Panel pieces are great for clothing, blankets or wall art.

Be sure to order plenty of fabric for the project you want to make. Many of my fabrics are one of a kind pieces and may not be in stock if you need to order more.

Why are International Shipping prices so high?

I ship all of my products using USPS. I have found this to be the fastest and most reliable way to ship my fabric. It is at this time, also the most economical. Keep in mind that for the shipping price listed for my International orders that I can ship up to 6 yards of fabric for the same price as 1 yard. So it is definitely a better deal to order more and spread that shipping cost over 6 yards of fabric.

This fabric is not exactly what I wanted. Can I return it or exchange it?

We are happy to accept fabric back for a refund, but we do not process exchanges. We will issue a refund via your original method of payment upon receiving the returned fabric.

* Please note, you must contact us within 10 days of the purchase date and the fabric must be returned within 30 days of the purchase date.

* Fabric must be unused/uncut/unwashed and in the original purchase condition.

*The buyer will be responsible for return shipping and there will be a 20% restocking fee to cover the original shipping costs.

How do I care for my fabrics?

I sell a wide variety of fabric and they have different care requirements. I include specific care instructions in each fabric listing, but in general:

Wax Prints/Indonesian Batiks/Australian Aboriginal Prints/Quilt Cottons can be machine washed and dried.

South African Shweshwe can be machine washed and dried in cool temperatures. Before washing you should soak them in warm water to remove starch.

Guatamalan Handwoven fabrics, Peruvian fabrics, Ecuadorian fabrics, Mexican fabrics and Indian Ikats should be hand washed and lined dried.

All of my fabrics have super saturated colors and should be washed separately for their first few washes.
