Why all of this Asheron's Call stuff?
My girlfriend and I purchased a laser cutter / engraver for a single project and future ideas. Next thing you know I'm making Asheron's Call plaques simply because I wanted something to remember my favorite MMO game without having to log into an emulator.
Soon after I made the starter towns I shared pictures to social media as a "Look at what I made" type thing. Someone I didn't know, wasn't a friend, and just happen to find my post, messaged me asking if I was going to sell the plaques. Told them I hadn't planned on it and they were just for me. Later I created the Dereth Topographical Map and once again, shared it to social media. Now I'm getting more requests to sell my items. So, that's what I did. I opened up my Etsy store and immediately started selling items.
If it wasn't for a certain person asking me more than once to sell these items I wouldn't be here. I never thought my crafts would be worthy to others. Apparently, I was wrong. Now, I receive heart felt stories about how much they loved Asheron's Call. I'm so pleased to be able to offer items that mean so much to others and not just myself.
