This kit is amazing! It was difficult to install, but it was a fun challenge to undertake. It took me about 4 hours to install, but that's only because I created a short on my first joycon and I had to redo it. Mitch was awesome enough to help me troubleshoot it, though! And these are by far the best looking LEDs on the market for the joycon. They can get super bright or super dim and they don't impact the battery life almost at all. I played until my switch was just about dead in handheld mode and the battery looked like it hadn't even started draining. Overall, I would highly recommend this mod if you are comfortable soldering and taking apart your joycons. Although Mitch said he may or may not be working on a solderless version. So if that's the case, all of you people that can't solder, you should wait for that one.

Mitch has been incredibly helpful with helping me design and build a custom set of Joy-Cons. I couldn't be any happier with how they turned out. The craftsmanship behind his custom-molded buttons (designed to cleanly disperse the LED lights), along with the LED mod itself make this a must-have mod for the ultimate set of Joy-Cons. There's so many different modes and pre-installed patterns to choose from, and it's all configurable through button inputs on the controllers themselves. That's before even getting into making my own presets! I couldn't recommend his work enough!
