My name is Enrica Barri and I am the founder of Nyami Jewelry.
I trained as a goldsmith and I work mainly in silver and bronze. In addition to traditional techniques such as hand sawing, forging, texturing and soldering,
I like to experiment with different technique such as "Lost Wax", "Sandcasting" and "electroforming". I like to mix them together in unusual ways so to create unique jewelry.
About 20 years ago I moved to the Mediterranean coast of Liguria, not far from Cinque Terre and opened a small art gallery in nearby city of Sarzana where I design, create and sell most of my pieces.
Creating jewelry is something I love to do, and making a living on it, like it is now, has been my dream since I was a child.
I grew up in a small village in Lake Como in the north of Italy next to the Swiss border, and at that time I played with real flowers and twigs to make rings, bracelets and necklaces.
Now as an adult, I sculpt and shape wax to make flower and twigs that I then cast in silver or bronze.
My designs reflect nature - they are organic in shape and texture. They are sometimes embellished with carefully selected freshwater pearls or genuine precious stones.
Each piece I create is one of a kind and each is the result of inspiration, expression and craftsmanship. It is finished and available for you only when I am satisfied and pleased about it.
