My Art Saved Me
Like many, my story started in the post covid era, precisely in 2022. At the beginning of the year I was laid off from my 9-5 job, and had to find a way on my own to turn things around. 2022 was also the year I had my first child, and that's when I turned to my hobby to help me support my family. Up to that point I had been drawing and painting for years just for fun, never thought about monetizing my skills, but at this point it seemed the most obvious choice to try first. I grew up in Italy, eventually moved to New York City for work in 2018, worked in the digital marketing space for 5 years, but have always dedicated a good amount of my spare time to creating digital and physical things on different mediums for fun. I gave Etsy a try, and saw things starting to take off after some time. I am very happy to be able to use my skills daily to make something that people will cherish for years. To this day I still live with my family in Brooklyn, New York. On my free time you can find me skateboarding, jogging around the parks, and cooking!
