My first exposure to Metalsmithing was a Crafts Class at Rio Hondo Jr College in Whittier, CA. The Crafts Class was give a choice of Wood or Metal. We voted on Metal and I knew from that moment THIS was MY Medium. At the end of the year, the Instructor asked to speak to me privately. He told me I had a real affinity for Metals and this should become my focus. I assured him I had already realized the connection and would continue in Metals as my main focus. I think of him a lot now and hope he knows how appreciative I have been for that conversation and encouragement.

Later in my Metals Journey, I came to a Crossroads: stay in Art and Custom Jewelry or become a Jewelry Company with outsourced production and retail sales. I opted for Custom Jeweler for the CREATIVE MAKING of the Jewelry is more important to me. Every original piece is made for me. They are my Children.

As Life continued to unfold and evolve, I found that being able to make original pieces and making multiples was viable.......as long as I continued to make and not send out to a Third Party or even out of America.

So, this is where we are Today: I am a Hands-On Metalsmith, able to create individual pieces as well as do limited Production work. I have cast and created over 10,000 Charms, Pins, Commemorative Medallions, Family Reunion Charms and Company or Corporate Special Projects (Cuff Links, Belt Buckles, Gold Makers, etc) in addition to my One of a Kind pieces. Because these were contracted through my website and not through Etsy, I am no able to boast thousands of sales.

I have more equipment than most brick and mortar jewelry stores and all my work is done In House.
