I have been collecting vintage jewelry since I was a teen. I've always especially loved the confetti lucite and Thermoset pieces from the 1950s and 1960s.
I can remember the first time I laid eyes on a pair of confetti lucite earrings when I was a little girl-- I was taken back!
What's not to love-- sparkly bits, pearlescent finishes, iridescent shells, gleaming metallic details... and glitter!
Throughout the years, I've noticed a decline in the amount of pieces I come across. Also, there has always been a lack of colors available., and many of them have become dull and worn over the years. I wanted purple, to match my favourite angora sweater! Pink and aqua combos to match my favourite 1950s novelty print blouse. That was my motivation to set out to make my own jewelry!
I pride myself on owning the original vintage reproduction confetti lucite jewelry company. What started out in 2009 as a hobby (and something that would be beneficial for my wardrobe) has really turned into something special. In 2010, I officially launched my business, focusing on jewelry and home decor pieces.
I use only the finest materials to craft each handmade SparkleLux piece. High shine, clarity, hypoallergenic components, genuine sterling silver and Swarovski crystals are some of the things that my customers can expect. There's a reason why I have a slightly longer turnaround time. I am a perfectionist! I really strive to listen to my customer's wants and needs-- that's how the perfect piece is born!
While I initially had the vintage-loving females in mind while creating my jewelry, my customers come from all sorts of styles, all walks of life. I've recently introduced a men's line, as well as luxury and statement pieces. I also have two more lines in the works!
In addition to taking custom orders personally, I have retailers in Palm Springs, Los Angeles, Berkeley, Livermore, San Diego, San Antonio, New York, Arizona, Australia, New Zealand and England.
My biggest thrill that I get from the job-- the reaction of my customers when they first lay eyes on something I've created just for them!
