Frequently asked questions

Shipping Recommendations

"Porch Pirates" (people who steal delivered packages left by the front door/porch) are on the rise. We take this very seriously. To prevent theft, Starry Night Glass Art mails all memorial piece(s) via U.S.P.S. Priority Mail with tracking, and we add a 'Signature Upon Delivery' service so packages will not be left at your front door step, We are proud to say every single memorial piece has reached its destination safe and sound... ☺️

Are your items urns?

We do not make hollow urns to place your ashes inside yourself. Our glass memorials are crafted by infusing a small amount of cremains, fur, feathers, or hair, into the hot molten glass during the creation of our memorials.

Why are your prices higher than others?

Excellent question! We use what is called "borosilicate" glass -- also known under the household name "Pyrex". This is an extremely durable type of glass which we import from Germany. It is very resilient to breakage - much more so than the normal "soft glass" which most glass blowers utilize. Borosilicate glass is much harder to work with, at a higher temperature, and requires a longer cool-down period in the kiln to anneal properly. In other words, we use the BEST materials and take our time to ensure you receive the very best in memorial glass art!
