I am Rakhi from NOIDA, India, founder of Store Utsav (pronounced “Ootsav”), an Indian handmade shop inspired by India’s rich artistic heritage, traditional crafts, cultural storytelling, and timeless handmade excellence. Store Utsav was created with a simple but meaningful vision to bring genuine handmade Indian products, traditional artisan work, handcrafted décor, ethnic fashion, spiritual products, and rare cultural treasures from India to people across the world who appreciate authenticity, artistry, and human creativity. India has always been known for its extraordinary heritage of handmade art forms, handloom weaving, block printing, embroidery, jewelry making, stone carving, painting traditions, folk crafts, natural healing traditions, and artisan communities that have existed for centuries. However, many traditional artists and craftsmen today struggle to continue their art because mass production, machine-made goods, and rapidly changing markets often leave little space for slow, handmade craftsmanship. During my travels and interactions with artisans, I witnessed many talented traditional artists leaving their ancestral crafts behind simply to survive financially. Some Indian art forms are now extremely rare, endangered, or already disappearing. That realization became the turning point behind Store Utsav. What began as a deep personal love for Indian art, heritage, culture, travel, handmade fashion, décor, spirituality, and traditional aesthetics, slowly transformed into a mission-driven handmade business. Through Store Utsav, I try to support and promote traditional Indian craftsmanship while helping artisans and handmade creators' works reach global customers who truly value them. Every purchase from my shop partially contributes to sustaining artisan livelihoods, preserving traditional techniques, encouraging ethical handmade production, and keeping India’s artistic legacy alive for future generations. The word “Utsav” in Hindi means “festival” or “celebration,” and Store Utsav is truly a celebration of handmade creativity, artistic expression, cultural beauty, and human craftsmanship. Our logo featuring two palms reflects the soul of handmade creation—art made by human hands with patience, skill, emotion, and tradition.
