My hobby turned into a craft business
I have been a crafty person all of my life. dabbled here and there into all kinds of crafts. I started making wreaths 10 years ago and I enjoy it very much. As I continued my wreath business I noticed that I could not always locate signs to complete my visions of what I wanted wreaths to look like. With that I knew about sublimation, but wasn't sure if I wanted to get into another craft. As most crafters there isn't just one craft we are into. I have a fully stocked craft room. Well I took a chance and got into sublimation. I started small with t-shirts and wasn't having much luck with them, so I tried wind spinners. My spinners have sold very well. Still getting my feet wet so to speak, I branched out and continued with other items like license plates, mouse pads, and ornaments. Wasn't sure if I could produce signs that would sell, but was having such good luck with all of these items I finally decided to go for it. Now I believe I have finally found my niche. I love designing the artwork for the signs. It's a great feeling when a customer contacts me for a special request and I can produce that image for them, for I know how hard it is to find that perfect sign. My business is based on trying to have unique signs that are different from everyone else's. There are some many talented people out there it is difficult to stand out. It warms my heart when a customer places an order for it makes me realize that maybe I'm doing something right. I would love for my business to become a full time job one day and with the help of this Etsy platform I'm getting closer everyday. It's a slow process, but hopefully it will happen. Thank you for stopping in.
