The Joy of Commuting?
I began this shop as a subway sketcher. Using a black ink brush pen, I drew my fellow subway commuters and I learned so much. About the way people sit, the way people tune out the world, and fortunately for me, how they stare into their phones, unaware that I was drawing them. I've begun offering my watercolor paintings for sale, and I am incredibly gratified that they have brought joy to my customers' homes.
As part of my commitment to Pray, March and Act for social change, I am donating a fixed portion of certain limited edition watercolor prints sold here to the Equal Justice Initiative (https://eji.org), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides legal representation to people who have been illegally convicted, unfairly sentenced, or abused in state jails and prisons. Thank you for stopping by. If you'd like to receive an occasional update about more new works before I make them public, please sign-up here: http://eepurl.com/hklvxn.
Thank you for visiting my shop. I hope you are inspired by my artwork.
