Fiber arts tools made from unique and exotic woods.

I specialize in handcrafting traditional tools for fiber arts, such as drop spindles, lucets, embroidery frames and naalbinding needles.

I live on a small, family-run farm in rural Massachusetts. We grow our own food, raise chickens and keep a small flock of Icelandic sheep. Using traditional methods, my family spins the wool from our sheep into yarn for weaving. We have always been fascinated by the history of this craft, and this intrigue inspired me to learn how to make traditional wooden spinning tools. These simple, yet elegant, spinning tools were used for thousands of years, and are critical for any practitioner of traditional fiber arts.
