From concept cars to vintage-inspired lamps, my design journey has been anything but ordinary.
As a German designer, I was immersed in the Bauhaus philosophy of 'form follows function.' This minimalist approach has been a cornerstone of my design career. However, my international experiences have revealed the rich tapestry of design influences worldwide. From the intricate details of Korean craftsmanship to the bold, experimental designs of the United States, I've learned to appreciate the nuances of different design cultures. My work is a fusion of German precision and international inspiration, a celebration of the diversity of human creativity.
After honing my skills at the University HfG Offenbach, I've spent years creating innovative automotive mobility concepts and teaching UX, User Experience Design. But my true passion also lies in blending the old with the new. 7 years ago I had a eureka moment: what if we could create cutting-edge lamps that look centuries old? This sparked a love for natural materials and traditional craftsmanship, leading to a thriving Etsy shop filled with one-of-a-kind designs.
Three years ago, I embarked on a journey to blend the best of the past with the future through my Etsy shop, Timebulb. While I started by focusing on creating innovative human centered products, I've come to realize that building meaningful connections with my customers is just as important. What started as a small venture has grown into a community of open minded people who appreciate unique, handcrafted pieces. The enthusiasm of my customers fuels my creativity, and I can't wait to see what the future holds.
