Tag & Tailor from the beginning..
Hello and Welcome to Tag & Tailor!
I'm Cheryl and I live in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside in England, with my son, my Whippet Lottie, and my chatty catties, Mia and Jinx.
My background is a odd mix of trying to decide whether I wanted to work in the design sector or the animal sector, starting a million years ago with a degree in Design Crafts, specialising in metalwork and silversmithing; and ending more recently with a Diploma in Animal Management.
Following this, I worked at a beautiful doggy daycare, alongside setting up my creative business, Tag & Tailor. Then, during the summer of 2022 the business took off and I now make pet tags full time. Half on Etsy, and half on my website, www.tagandtailor.co.uk .
The name "Tag & Tailor" popped into my head one night at 2am, when all the best ideas happen. "Tag" obviously refers to pet tags, and "Tailor" as they are tailored to meet my customer's needs.
If you're looking for something specific and can't find it in my shop, I may have an available slot for a custom design. This can be based off an image, a photo, an idea or a description. When I have available custom design slots, I usually announce them on my Instagram page, @tagandtailordogwear.
I have invested a huge amounts of time, money, sanity and brain power into learning the required skills to become an engraver, proving once-and-for-all that baby brain doesn't last forever after having a child.
I adore this type of work, from the design process, to chatting with my wonderful customers all over the world, to working with metals, and then, the exciting bit - the lasering itself! The learning process will never be over and I am always looking for ways to improve my tags, processes and business as a whole.
The inspiration for the majority of my designs comes from nature. From the tiniest plants up to giant breath-taking mountains. I spend a lot of time in nature, mainly in Wales, in the Brecon Beacons or Snowdonia, which is where many of my ideas begin.
Thankyou for supporting my little business and my dream.. without my wonderful customers this whole thing wouldn't exist, and I am truly grateful for every single one of you. :)
