A Portuguese Soul
Hi there! Thank you for your interest in Tipsy Gypsy Crochet (formerly know has Tangled Knot Creations).
A little about myself:
I’m originally from Portugal, and have been living in the U.S. for about 11 years.
As far as I can remember, in any Portuguese household you could always find displays of beautiful and intricate crochet pieces, mostly doilies and table runners. Growing up, my mom always had a crochet project going on, but I never had an interest in learning the craft.
When I reached my late 20’s I started to look at mom differently, I wanted to spend more time with her (don’t we all?). That's when I decided it was time to learn how to crochet, so we could have an activity in common, something we could share a passion for. My mom taught me the basics, and that was it! I picked it up right away.
I can say that I've been hooked to the art of crochet since my first stitch and making mom proud!
Tipsy Gypsy Crochet was born, first for the fun of creating crochet pieces, but rapidly turned into a small business due to the requests and positive feedback I was getting from friends and relatives.
