My name is Alex, and I am a Fashion Designer and Apparel Business Consultant with +20 years of experience. Having been consulting with established brands, and countless start ups and designers looking to start their Fashion careers, I got to see repetitive questions, themes and common challenges across the board. And this sparked my interest in creating tools that would tackle them in a way that worked from day one...
What I mean by this is hands-on professional tools that the big players in the industry work with (yes, companies you probably shop from), and making them available to everyone.
My approach is not giving you the Fashion School basics, but cut straight to the Apparel Business ways of doing it. Either you are making five garments, or 500,000, you can be confident these forms and templates will stay with you all the way. Having been a Fashion Design College myself (many moons ago - in LA and London) as much as I loved the experience, the 'classroom' approach although demanding, did not properly prepare me for presenting myself as a professional.
I have looked at what other sites teach, and I can assure you they fall short of industry standards 90% of the time. You might be wondering, isn't that going overboard? And the short answer is absolutely no... The forms and tools I am sharing aren't necessarily more complicated, just standardized. And the only way to get access to them, testing them and understanding the 'reason to the madness' comes from actually working with them in the real world... I did the homework for you, so you can jump straight to using them.
My goal is to help you use your time and resources efficiently, avoid frustrating (and costly!) rookie mistakes and set yourself up to succeed making your dream become a reality from day one.
