Our store name, The Lovekins, comes from a portmanteau of both of our names: C*love* and Jay*kin*. We have been making art together for the past 10 years and married for 5 of those, and we don't intend to stop any time soon.
With the modern age of the internet, we met as most couples these days do: online. Our love for art and fandoms brought us together, and despite initially living 4 hours apart from each other we strove to one day finally meet in person. As fate would have it, our first time meeting would also be our first time breaking out into the art business at Gold Coast Supanova in 2016. We couldn't have known then that we would soon become not only business partners, but life partners.
Now, we work in tandem to bring our creations to the world and try to spread joy in the form of bright, nostalgia-inducing illustrations and merchandise inspired by our favourite medias and animals. We love what we do, and we hope you do too.
