How The Patch Ladie got started.
My name is Rowena and I love motorcycles and sewing.
A long time ago I graduate from design school with a degree in fashion design. During my career I have worked on every side of the clothing a design spectrum (costume design, clothing retail, seamstress etc...)
Fast forward to 2000 I was laid of work and needed to find a job. I saw an ad for a seamstress for a leather shop and BAM! that is when I was introduced to motorcycle riding. I sewed patches on leather vest and repaired leather gear. I learned how to ride a motorcycle and then got a job as a salesperson working at a motorcycle shop.
I started my business in 2014, I purchased some patches loaded up my sewing machine and rented a booth at the local flea market. Working at the flea market taught me that I not only needed to sell patches, I needed to design and manufacture patches to reach my audience. My business has grown exponentially over the last 2 years which has prompted me to expand to online sales.
