How The Rin Creative Began
Before launching this shop in October 2024, I created a baby shower invitation for my best friend's celebration that September. She had the brilliant idea of a French coffee shop theme for her special day, so we took the idea and ran with it. She called it "Café Bébé." After creating that invitation, I realized I could use my design abilities to share beautiful event-branded items with others—and maybe even turn it into a job. That invitation template is now one of my top sellers in this shop!
At the surface, that's how The Rin Creative was born. "Rin" is part of my name, Katherine, and "Creative" is, well... a blanket term for my lifelong love of all things creative. I'm no stranger to creative endeavors; I've dabbled in a few, with one always leading to the next:
•Sketching, painting, and crafting whenever I could as a child and teen.
•Capturing moments and connecting with people through photography—a hobby that eventually became a side hustle.
•Working at a family-owned home décor shop, which ignited my passion for interior design and all things home.
•Hosting events for friends and family, leading me to discover party planning and event branding.
•Starting my first Etsy shop in 2022, creating custom, handmade acrylic signage for weddings and events.
At the heart of this shop is my entrepreneurial spirit and my endless drive to create beautiful things. In this case, it's an endeavor that blossomed from my love for a good party theme. It's the personal touches—like stationery, signage, and décor—that truly make an event special. What better way to share the joy of hosting and bringing people together than with cute, easily accessible, and customizable templates that are within budget?
Many other life events and jobs have shaped my journey along the way. I now have a sweet husband of six years and an 18-month-old son, both of whom I am unbelievably blessed to share my life with. I love them more than anything, and being a mom is my greatest joy. I feel so lucky to have found this Etsy community and to be able to take advantage of the opportunities it offers creators like me. I get to be a wife and mom first, but in my spare time, I absolutely love creating editable templates that generate passive income for my family. I still get a rush every time I hear the notification of another sale!
