Glass beads are so gorgeous on their own. They are like chameleon vignettes that change with the atmosphere and surrounding. I especially appreciate the simple and straight forward patterns and even simple solid color jewelry pieces for the sole reason of enjoying the dramatic color changes glass beads are capable of. They have a life of their own and I want to tell their fleeting stories and lightscape journeys to all who are willing to really look and ''listen''... So come, look, enjoy and ''listen'' :)

I am one, in our group of three best friends, who decided to take upon myself the challenge of doing something completely different than anything I or my two friends have ever done before. We were all living in hard times on many levels and at some point one of my friends, who was inspired with the beading work my mother used to do before she passed away, suggested that we could learn beading ourselves and expand both personally and creatively. The material was there, the ideas were flowing and flowering between us but we still had quite a way to go. And somewhere along this not-so-easy way I decided to challenge myself and my muscle weakness and start sewing beads myself. With some improvisation and additional tools, I succeeded in creating my first few bracelets. I am also proud and happy to say that my friends received an extra boost of confidence and willingness after seeing me in my strange but unique way of sewing beads. I use the open cuff bracelet (torc) and secure one end of it in my left hand and then I sew around the metal using my right hand.

The story has begun but is to be continued from this point on... I don't think there is anyone who does not enjoy beauty and the beautiful. I don't think that there is anyone immune to the sudden visit of beauty in the most unexpected places and circumstances. I don't think there is a single person out there who has never experienced at least one profound moment of feeling captivated by the beautiful and emptied of the heavy and stifling. Jewelry and glass beads are just one humble permission slip to enter this somewhat elusive land and, If I could stretch myself, I would most probably create permission slips in the form of music and poetry which is a great passion of mine. My friend told me recently "I take so much pleasure in imagining people wearing our jewelry and really enjoying it in the same way I loved imagining people's hearts being warmed by my words when I was dreaming of becoming a writer."
