Your photo, painted in light.
Light Kept Studio started with one request: a friend asked if we could turn the last good photo of her dog into something she could hang in the kitchen window, where he used to wait for her. We drew him in the leaded-glass style, printed it on glass, and the morning sun did the rest.
That is still what we do. Every piece begins with your photo or your names. We redraw the face - the ears, the markings, the look - in bold lead lines and faceted color, then print it on 4 mm tempered glass or 3 mm shatterproof acrylic cut to shape. You see a digital preview before anything is made, and we adjust it until it feels right.
Most of what we make ends up in a window: pet portraits, family portraits, memorial pieces for people and pets, grandma's garden with the grandkids' names, and a few seasonal designs for Halloween and Christmas. Each one ships with a chain and suction cup, ready to hang, in a kraft gift box on request.
We are a small studio. We answer messages ourselves, usually within a few hours, and we would rather remake a piece than send one we are not proud of.
