Nature Inspired Prints, Cards, and Tees
Hi, friends. I'm Sarah, a native Floridian illustrator and cardmaker. I currently work as a fulltime artist, selling prints and cards (and occasionally t-shirts) of my illustrations. I currently live and work in Jacksonville, Florida with my husband and our three beautiful children.
Now, a bit about my story! For many years, I worked outdoors on an organic farm in Tallahassee, enjoying the sunshine, the wildlife and wildflowers, and getting to work closely with cows and horses. When I started having children and left my job to care for them, I found that I missed the productive peacefulness of working out in nature, so I decided to bring nature back into my life through my illustrations, and I was able to reclaim a bit of me in the process. Many of the animals I draw are ones I have seen often, have met on adventures, or animals I grew up seeing as a child. There is a level of nostalgia to my art that brings me joy, and I hope that others, too, find enjoyment in my art.
I originally went to school for a writing degree, and my love of story telling, poetry, gothic literature, humor and puns, myths, fantasy, and folklore are all inspirations behind my art. Many of my illustrations are titled with a mock serious or silly pun. Sometimes the pun inspires the drawing, and sometimes it's the other way around, but writing is heavily woven into my art process. My goal is to one day release a book of my own folktales.
Everything displayed in my Etsy shop has been drawn and designed by me, and NOTHING has been AI generated. There are unfortunately many Etsy sellers selling AI-generated images, so please be wary of shops that appear when searching for my shop name. Shops selling many different styles of art are often shops selling AI-generated images. Thank you so much for supporting artists!
If you have questions about about my shop, please check out my Frequently Asked Questions. Also, please note that I routinely remove prints from my shop to make room for new art. If there's a print you desperately need that is no longer in stock, let me know, and I can make it available to you.
Unfortunately, I do not offer other print sizes than the ones available in each listing, I don't ship internationally from my Etsy, and I never license out my work to be used for any reason (with the exception of tattoo tickets). I also am no longer taking commission work. I know this comes as a disappointment to many, but I find drawing most enjoyable when it comes from the heart. If and when this changes, I will be sure to let everyone know!
Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about me and my art, and if you have any questions about the items listed in my shop, check out my FAQ, or shoot me a message! I am here to help. Other than that, if you're interested in my process, learning the titles of my pieces, or just following along on my art journey, follow me @trailbugprints on Instagram.
