CREATIVE, TALENTED AND PASSIONATE ALL OF MY LIFE! FOREVER A SEAMSTRESS
Namaste! Child of the 60's, hippie at heart, I had a great fun youth. My creative juices have flowed forever. "Back in the day," life was more simple. Growing up in a family of six in a small house in rural Southeast Louisiana (just outside of New Orleans), we relied heavily on our imagination and available resources to create our own fun. Having tons of hobbies, just a couple of my favorites were sewing & crafting. At 6 years old, my mother taught me to sew (she is quite the seamstress). Having deeply entrenched roots in the French Quarter, my first venture into sales was at age 10...when I created an adorable stuffed animal (elephant) pajama bag. My grand aunt was very supportive and allowed me to sell my handmade item in her praline shop on Royal Street in the heart of the French Quarter...and sell I did. Couldn't keep the shelves stocked.
In viewing my shop, you'll notice my style is extremely eclectic which is a true reflection of my heart & personality. Wouldn't have me any other way. Spending much of my youth by my father's side parading around the French Quarter starting at age 3, my style is heavily influenced by the diversity of the native peoples that is the vieux carre. From modern to vintage, boho to chic, and all styles in between, my creations are a solid representation of the laissez faire one mile city square that boasts a million miles of varied styles...all coexisting together. THAT is a beautiful harmonious climate. I am a grateful & blessed woman for the experiences.
