Built with love at 2 a.m.—literally.
Hi there! We’re a husband-and-wife duo who met the old-school online way—in a virtual chatroom back in 1998. He lived in California, I lived in Washington, and every night, no matter what, we’d find each other online at 2 o’clock in the morning. It was our time, our place, our beginning. When we got married, we even planned our wedding for 2:00 PM—because it meant something.
So when we decided to start a business together—something handmade, something personal, something ours—we knew exactly what to call it: Two O’Clock Wood Works.
🪵 Why We Started
With a growing family (we’ve got nine amazing kids!) and one income that just couldn’t stretch far enough, we started looking for a way to bring in extra income without sacrificing time with our kids. Woodworking came naturally to us—we’ve always been creators at heart—so we turned our passion into a purpose.
What started out of necessity has grown into something deeply meaningful. Two O’Clock Wood Works is more than a business—it’s our love story, our late nights, our resilience, our dream for a life built by hand and by heart.
👩🎨👨🔧 How We Work
I (April!) handle most of the designing, and my husband takes care of the cutting, sanding, and painting—but we switch things up when needed. We’ve always been best friends, and working side-by-side has only made us stronger. Every piece that leaves our shop has been touched by both of us.
💛 Our Values
We only make what we love—and we never send out something we wouldn’t be excited to receive ourselves. Our shop is built on integrity, humor, and heart. And if by some rare fluke you receive something that isn’t quite perfect, we’ll bend over backward to make it right. That’s a promise.
Everything we create is handmade by us, right here in the USA. No outsourcing. No shortcuts. Just two people pouring love, time, and sawdust into every piece. We make things to support our family, and we hope they bring a little joy into yours.
