We are a husband and wife team, living in Burton Latimer with our two young children and cat, Willow.
I, Stephen, work in the plastics industry as a service engineer. I work up and down the country, doing what I love - fixing things and getting my hands dirty. In my spare time I like to build things, particularly electronics and carpentry. Our house is full of bespoke cupboards to hide the toys, and shelves to display the crafts we make.
I, Elise, am a primary school teacher, and avid crafter - mainly crochet, baking and making anything else pretty!
Stephen first bought a small CNC machine, but soon upgraded to a larger OpenBuilds CNC router, capable of cutting and engraving bigger, quicker, and more accurately.
We then upgraded our kit to include laser machines.
Stephen loves the programming and engineering side of the business, but Elise has the eye for design and organisation: together we make a great team! Elise takes the orders and designs the products, Stephen brings them to life, and Elise packages them up and sends them out.
Currently, we sell on Etsy, Facebook, Instagram, in a small shop for local small businesses, and at local craft fairs. We’ve been blown away by how a little hobby, making cutesy signage for our own garden, has turned into a business that keeps us quite busy in our spare time, and keeps us in ice cream money!
We really enjoy our small business. We enjoy having a shared goal, and get a real buzz out of creating beautiful pieces for you, and the idea of them in homes all around the globe: our designs have made it to our next door neighbours, and all the way to Australia!
