In general, our items come in a kraft gift box that will be inside the shipping box. The only exception would be if we don’t have the right size available. If you would like an item shipped to a gift recipient we would be happy to add a personal note from you...just let us know in advance!

All of our pottery uses lead-free, food-safe glazes, and is dishwasher and microwave safe. Please don’t microwave empty (without liquid or food inside). As with any pottery, it can break from sudden impact, so please handle it with respect. The thinner and lighter the object, the more we recommend care in handling. Our vessels are not meant for stove tops or open flames, but can certainly handle oven temperatures if warmed slowly. The main thing to avoid is sudden thermal shocks, or uneven heating. Many experts recommend putting ceramics into the cold oven and letting them heat up with the oven to reduce shock.

In general we sell items that are already produced...however if you have a specific request for something you don’t see please feel free to contact us. No guarantees, but we’re open to having the discussion!

Our pricing structure is based around free domestic shipping, so for most items there is no need for a multi-item shipping discount. If ordering internationally, we will refund any amount of the shipping fee that exceeds our cost to ship, so it will cost less if you purchase all items at one time. If you are picking up locally, we also offer a 20% discount with NO shipping included.

Each item is individually priced based on many factors such as size, complexity, time required, unique material costs, and more. We try to keep prices reasonable while still accounting for the fact that they are unique handmade items. Trust us, it will take a long, long time to break even on the significant cost to open a studio, but this is a labor of love, not profit!

We use USPS priority mail exclusively for domestic orders. When shipping from Alaska, alternatives like FEDEX and UPS are outlandishly expensive. You will receive a tracking number via email when your order ships, and most locations take 3-5 days to arrive.

ABSOLUTELY! We love to support our local community and visitors! If you live in (or are traveling through) Anchorage, we welcome local pickups. Just load LOCALPICKUP (all one word) into the coupon field and receive a 20% discount on all items site-wide! Caution: this code ELIMINATES shipping, it is for local pickup only! If you want or need shipping do not use this.

If you forget to load the coupon, have no fear, we can also easily refund 20% of your order amount if you let us know before we purchase the shipping label that you'd like to pick up locally.

We welcome pre-scheduled visits to our in-home gallery where you can browse, touch, and feel before deciding whether to purchase. We know that it's much easier to assess pottery in person than in pictures, and you also gain the benefit of no shipping cost! Please message us directly to arrange your visit.
