Wood is my middle name
Yellow Barn began in my garage workshop. I have always loved rustic country decor . I hand pick each piece of wood myself . Each piece is different and has many knots, cracks and other unique features and it inspires me. I look at every piece of wood as a blank canvas and imagine what it will look like in someone's home. Maybe it will have a family photo on it, or a welcome home sign printed on it . The variations are endless . Wood actually is my middle name , coming from one of my family member's last names. When I was little I wanted a prettier middle name like Lynn or something else with a Y that I could swirl on the page when I wrote it . I grew up out in the country next door to my grandparents farm and I would run down the lane to their old barn . Grandpa would be there feeding cows and I would say a quick hi and run past the rows of cows munching hay to climb the homemade ladder that went up to the hayloft. Now as I work in my wood shop every day creating art pieces on wood for people I am glad to have such a unique, one-of-a-kind name and a simple, wonderful childhood . I am happy to have you as my customers and hope you love these pieces as much as I do.
