Back to the basics with some help of creativity
The passion for crafts has been around since childhood.
As a child I was already very creative, and preferably as many projects at the same time and as many different creative activities as possible. I've tried everything: making cards, crocheting, knitting, sewing, origami, painting, drawing, embroidery, woodworking, modeling, papercraft, making costumes, you name it. At the time, I really enjoyed when people liked what I had made.
In the end I even based my study choice on my love of creativity, namely Industrial Product Design. Technology and creativity mixed together. It was wonderful time, not because I was a typical student (, nowhere near), but because I liked to make the practical school assignments. (theory slightly less ...)
Unfortunately, due to less pleasant events during this period, an annoying phenomenon has also surfaced: Fatigue. I have continued, completed my education successfully, found a job and have been working there since 2015. However, in those past 6 years, fatigue had taken on extreme forms, including physical and mental complaints. Relaxation was nowhere to be found, not even a hot shower. Eventually I ended up being sick at home.
In this time I actually started searching for the basis. Something that would give me a lot of pleasure to do, relaxation and even some energy. Because of the time and energy that I now had because work was temporarily gone, I could pick up my old love again, namely crafting. The crafting helped me through the day, kept me off the couch. In addition to the pleasure it gave me, I could finally find relaxation again. I had not felt so relaxed in years.
In addition, the idea often arose that I want to continue to do this. Being bussy, having fun and make you happy with my creations, even getting excited to be creative yourself. Hoping that it will give you as much energy and satisfaction as it does to me me.
Thank you for reading and I wish you lots of creativity!
